System Requirements

All you need to run ContentKeeper Web.

ContentKeeper Web is designed to run on a dedicated ContentKeeper Appliance, but can also run on a dedicated Intel-based PC server.

Third Party Hardware Requirements.

ContentKeeper Technologies recommends the use of a dedicated ContentKeeper appliance to guarantee ongoing hardware compatibility. However, most other commonly available Intel based platforms will function adequately. Minimum Hardware specifications are listed below.

Small sites (less than 250 users, up to 2 Mbps traffic load)
  • Dedicated Intel based PC
  • 1 GHz CPU or better
  • 2 GB RAM, 40 GB Hard Disk Drive (IDE or SCSI)
  • 3 x 10/100Mbs/Gigabit Intel Pro Ethernet Cards UTP
  • Keyboard, CD Rom Drive
  • ContentKeeper High Availability Module (optional)
Small to Medium sites (250 to 3,000 users, up to 50Mbps traffic load)
  • Dedicated Intel based PC or rack mount server
  • 3 GHz CPU
  • 2 GB
  • 120+ Gig Hard Disk Drive (IDE or SCSI)
  • 3 x 10/100/1000 Intel Pro Ethernet Cards UTP
  • Keyboard, CD ROM Drive
  • ContentKeeper High Availability Module (optional)
Medium to Large sites (3,000 to 80,000 users, up to 200+Mbps traffic load)
  • Dedicated 1st tier Intel based rack mount server
  • Dual 3GHz CPUs
  • 4 Gb RAM
  • 120+ Gig Hard Disk Drive (IDE or SCSI)
  • 3 x 10/100/1000 Intel Pro Ethernet Cards UTP
  • Keyboard, CD ROM Drive
  • High Availability Module (optional)
Very Large Enterprise and Carrier Type Environments

ContentKeeper is designed to work with load balancers to facilitate traffic loads in excess of 1 Gigabyte per second. Multiple ContentKeeper Appliances can be deployed in a load balanced farm utilising load balancing devices from RADware (Fireproof/Linkproof), F5, Foundry and others. Note: Currently there is no support for IDE SATA drives, however some SATA drives can be run in legacy mode successfully.
